Tropicana Projection Record

Building The World's Largest Video Game Screen

In 2022, our team took gaming to a new level while crushing the world’s largest video game screen record at The Tropicana. We worked diligently to beat the previously held record by over 8,000 square feet. The colossal video game display was recorded as 47,397 square feet and was live-streamed to tens of thousands of viewers around the globe.

Architecture Meets Gaming - The Build Process

With our custom FORGE ANVIL server, we manipulated the content feed to adapt to the forced perspective of the building. Our in-house creative designers were entrusted with executing the gaming imagery and live-feeding the content so that the game could be played in real time. The content featured a video game that athletes and celebrities on hand could play as a multiplayer game, transforming The Tropicana into an immersive gaming experience.

Designing and building the projection system for the world’s largest video game screen was no easy feat. We used specialized software and photogrammetry to ensure an immaculate representation of architecture. With thirty-eight Barco projectors and a few spares (a total of fifty units), the massive installation was seamlessly blended, warped, and mapped to the desired content for our clients.
